Timber Store has bought a Combilift multi-directional fork-lift truck to speed timber handling at its site in Crawley, West Sussex.
The Irish-built fork-lift, which costs from around £36,000, has fully-synchronised four-way steering. It is said to be smaller and more versatile than sideloaders, and was designed for moving long loads in confined spaces. An extra metre of stacking space in lower racks can be gained by the Combilift’s low platform height.
The truck will facilitate increased storage of panelled materials and timber at Timber Store’s site, and shorten loading and stacking times.
