Sonae Industria has bought 13 lift trucks for its Challenger factory on Merseyside.
The company has purchased nine six-tonne and four three-tonne trucks from Toyota Industrial Equipment.
Because Sonae processes both bulk and short-run orders, Sonae needed fork lifts that could handle a variety of pack sizes. The automatic fork levelling function on the trucks was also a key selling point given the susceptibility to damage of laminates, chipboard and MDF.
