The TTBS‘s new national president, Ian Menzies, has launched a rallying cry to raise the profile of the charity.
Speaking at the AGM on May 15, Mr Menzies, who has succeeded Brian Bauckham, said the TTBS’s profile needed to be raised “to the point that companies not only supply us at functions, but they will encourage young people to join”.
“Failure is not an option,” he said.
If the charity was unable to attract corporate money or young people, it would die, faiing not only those who needed it, but those who have worked for the TTBS throughout its history.
Mr Menzies thanked Mr Bauckham for the “excellent way he has looked after the society in the past year” and the trustees whom he described as “the absolute backbone” of the TTBS.
