Swedish timber drying kiln supplier Valutec has made a breakthrough into the Canadian market.
Its first plant is now operating in La Baie, 200km north of Quebec, and the company believes this could lead to more orders from the huge North American market.
Canada, like other countries around the world, is looking for environmentally friendly methods of kiln drying wood and Valutec has helped develop a technology for high temperature drying which is suitable to Canadian species.
