The association for British Furniture Manufacturers (BFM) claims to have completed the most extensive research to date on wood combustion in the UK.

The BFM’s new benchmarking study, to be presented at two seminars during April, contains information gathered from more than 80 authorised wood combustion plants on issues such as wood waste consumption, energy utilisation, emissions and compliance.

The seminars, aimed at companies considering the installation of wood combustion plants, will feature an overview of legislation and changes introduced by the 2004 revision of the wood combustion guidance note, as well as a look at combustion technology use in Europe.

The events will take place at the BFM office in High Wycombe on April 26 and Bradford Novotel on April 28. For information contact Alistair Bromhead on 01494 450813.
