A 10% growth in booked exhibition space has so far been recorded by organisers of this year’s Xylexpo woodworking machinery show, compared to 2004.
Some 80,000m2 of space has so far been assigned for the combined Xylexpo/Sasmil event, with Xylexpo expected to cover a larger exhibition area than previous shows.
Italian exhibitor bookings for the Milan show, which takes place on May 16-20, are in line with the 2004 event, while foreign exhibitor numbers are so far up by 20 on a year ago.
Xylexpo/Sasmil will be held at a new venue, the Rho fairgrounds, which organisers say provides a more rational layout for a range of equipment, including panel processing machines, sawmilling units and solutions for the solid wood sector.
