Timber Expo: English Woodlands Timber success
5 October 2013English Woodlands Timber had received enough enquiries by lunchtime on the first day to judge the show a success.
Flicking through the contacts book, director Ian McNally revealed that visitors in just the first few hours of the show included carpenters, architects, a joiner supplying high-quality products to Qatar, an engineering company, and large construction companies.
"They all seem knowledgeable about timber," he said.
"People are interested in the service we offer, as well as the wood. We source, season and deliver to specification and they're keen to have that confidence."
The main feature on the stand was a boule of oiled English elm, topped with the mini boules of ash which decorated the tables at this year's TTJ Awards.
