Timber Expo: Media savvy SCA
5 October 2013SCA Timber Supply supplied and built the Media Centre and promoted its message that it takes sustainability seriously, tracking its carbon footprint “from seed to finished, delivered product”.
SCA says it is one of the few timber producers able to track the carbon footprint of its wood from its tree nursery through to the finished end product.
SCA's certified forests cover an area equal to 3.5 million football pitches and forest growth is 25% greater than its harvesting. This results in a net total of 250kg of CO2 sequestered per cubic metre of sawn timber produced.
