Construction provides pallets bright spot
Pallet manufacturers have also been forced to compete for raw materials, however, demand remained “muted”, according to one source, and overcapacity made business even more competitive. “The economy might be a bit better, but people are still trying to save money with pallet pools and buying secondhand, and when 75% of the cost has gone up 25%, trying to pass that on is extremely difficult.”
