The organisation has linked up with Free Run Wines UK Ltd in the launch of a new wine brand called L’Olivier (Olive Tree), with a donation from each bottle sold going to the TFT.

Free Run Wines identified TFT as a partner to help it create an organic wine brand which could support a global cause. The name L’Olivier developed from meetings between TFT and the company.

The TFT’s name appears on the bottle’s label, which is made from recycled paper.

“We are excited by the partnership between Free Run Wines and the Tropical Forest Trust as it give us an ideal opportunity to highlight the plight of tropical rainforests with a totally new audience,” said a TFT spokesperson.

Wine sale donations will primarily help pygmy colonies in Africa, as well as other forest communities.
