Associated British Port (ABP) has moved its Cardiff offices into the newly-built Queen Alexandra House at the eastern end of Cardiff Bay Barrage.

From March next year the building will also become the headquarters for Cardiff Harbour Authority.

Cardiff is the centre for all ABP’s operations in South Wales which cover the ports of Barry, Cardiff, Newport, Port Talbot and Swansea. The move has enabled ABP, which previously used a number of buildings around the port, to consolidate all its operations under one roof.

Port director Budha Majumdar said: “It is particularly fitting that we will be sharing the building with Cardiff Harbour Authority with whom we have a close working relationship – committed as we both are to the best interests of Cardiff’s waterfront community.”
