International Timber has become the second distributor of Accoya cladding in Scotland, strengthening the modified material’s market position.
It follows Russwood Ltd in offering Accoya cladding to the Scottish market, with the intention of offering Scottish customers more choice and availability.
“Sustainability and durability are key considerations when specifying timber cladding products,” said Steve Rogers, International Timber’s product and market director.
“Accoya’s outstanding 60-year durability and the significant reduction in timber shrinkage and expansion it provides make it an ideal choice for architects and specifiers looking for a low maintenance, long lasting solution that will stay good for years to come.”
The first commercial application of Accoya cladding was recently unveiled in the Dutch city of Rotterdam, with 40m³ used to clad the GoGo Tours office building.
