A regional office of the Timber Trade Federation’s insurer Aon was destroyed by last week’s terrorist attack on New York’s World Trade Center.

The New York offices of AON Corporation were located on floors 92 and 98-105 of the World Trade Center’s south tower.

The first hijacked plane slammed into the north tower just before 9am last Tuesday and minutes later AON’s 92nd floor offices in the south tower were hit directly by the second plane.

The company’s remaining office space, on floors 99 and 100, were located above the explosion, which took out floors 82-93 of the south tower.

Chicago-based AON says some 1,150 employees are safe but 200 are missing.
