Arbor Forest Products’ MDF range has been rebranded Arbor Edge following a significant investment in production technology and part of a wider programme of upgrades across its North Lincolnshire site.
Arbor believes its investment makes it the only UK manufacturer to integrate this specific level of sanding technology between coats.
Gwyn Tuxford, head of manufacturing at Arbor Edge, said the latest investment was taking the MDF range “to the next level”.
“The introduction of precision sanding equipment not only enhances the final finish but also improves workflow and safety across the plant. It’s about delivering consistency and premium quality at every stage.”
The investment in Arbor Edge is just one part of a wider £3.5m investment in the site in 2025, which also includes a new low-pressure treatment tank, baling line, and expanded storage facilities.
Marie Ennals, Arbor marketing manager, said rebranding gave the opportunity to showcase the benefits of the product. Quoted benefits include moisture-resistance, high-density boards, double priming, low VOC emissions, and custom-made profiling.
