Architect Craig White has been named as the new chairman of the Wood for Gold campaign.
Mr White, director of White Design, succeeds Martin Gale who stepped down from the role after leaving UPM-Kymmene to start his own forestry and consultancy business.
“I am excited to be joining Wood for Gold following the success they have already achieved,” said Mr White.
“I look forward to joining them in publicising the many uses of wood to the architects, designers and contractors who will be responsible for 2012.”
Wood for Gold said it was “very excited to have him on board” as Mr White had shown a commitment to promoting sustainable building through his work with White Design.
