Asia Plywood Company Sdn Bhd (APC) has won back the right to describe its plywood as Malaysian Timber Certification Council (MTCC) certified.
The company had its MTCC certification status removed in July after failing to meet certain criteria, and in August it was advised about the corrective action required to reinstate the certification.
It recently received a follow-up visit from independent assessor, SIRIM QAS International Sdn Bhd which verified that the company had taken necessary actions to comply with the “requirements and assessment procedures for chain of custody certification”.
The MTCC said APC could resume describing its plywood as MTCC-certified as from November 9.
