Timber producers, processors and traders are being invited to an international forum in Shanghai themed “Discovering the current and future Asian market for wood products”.
The September 22-23 forum, organised by Association Technique Internationale des Bois Tropicaux, will examine the Asian market’s needs and raw material supply sources, its capacity to export manufactured products and the demand for legal and sustainable production material.
The event, expected to attract 300-500 enterprises, will include debates involving representatives of international organisations, donors and Chinese associations/companies, as well as visits to industrial sites on September 20-21.
It will be followed by the International Tropical Timber Organisation‘s International Conference on Tropical Plywood in Beijing on September 26-28.
