Timber company Auspine has announced an A$8.7m profit and predicted strong sales for the first half of 2003.
However, managing director Adrian de Bruin says sales could dip in the fourth quarter if the housing market slows.
About 80% of Auspine’s revenue comes from timber sales and the remainder from its woodchip business.
Woodchip exports are forecast to rise by about 25% on last year, with prices steady.
