BASF is increasing prices for polymer dispersions, powders and resins in Europe, Africa and western Asia.
The price rises for straight-acrylic, styrene-acrylic and styrene butadiene dispersions are going up by €130 per tonne and by €180 per tonne for acrylic resins and redispersible acrylic powders.
“The price adjustments are necessary due to significantly increased raw material costs,” BASF said.
The products affected by the price increase are used as polymers for adhesives, fiberbonding, architectural coatings and construction chemicals.
The company has a business in the wood coatings, adhesives and timber modification sectors.
