Bennett Windows has completed a £500,000 contract as part of a national housebuilder’s conversion of a former hospital complex in Staffordshire.

Ratby-based Bennett, the windows division of Benlowe Group Ltd, supplied sliding sash timber windows for Redrow Homes (Midlands) Ltd’s St Edward’s Park project in Leek.

The company, a member of the British Woodworking Federation, provided its factory finished Chatsworth style windows, which are operated by modern spring balances and also feature traditional timber horns on the sash and ovolo mouldings on outer sections.

Bennett’s technical support team was involved from the project’s outset, helping to ensure the fenestration complied with conservation requirements. Individual surveys of all window openings in the Grade II listed building were carried out prior to manufacture.
