Fingerprint doorset locks could soon be coming to the social housing, health and residential care sectors following successful testing by Chiltern Dynamics.
A biometric fingerprint sensor lock made by Global Bio Tec Ltd has been successfully tested on a doorset to PAS 24 by Chiltern Dynamics.
Global Bio Tec Ltd claims its Connective Touch product is the only biometric product of its type and will be manufactured in the UK, with social housing, residential care homes and health authorities as key target markets.
The product has now been accepted by the police’s Secured by Design initiative.
Global Bio Tec has designed and created new software to combine mechanical function, electronic specification and biometric capabilities, working with Swedish specialist Finger Print Cards.
