The Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) is calling on worthy teams from the building supplies industry to take part in its Master Merchant competition.
Master Merchant is designed as a team-building exercise, pitting teams of four against one another in a series of challenges including abseiling, code breaking and caving.
“We really enjoyed pitting our wits against the competitors, especially in rock climbing, caving and ghyll walking,” said Andy Ferris, product manager with last year’s winner MKM Building Supplies. “It was a great sense of achievement for MKM and we can’t wait to defend our title.”
Master Merchant is open to any company in the building supplies industry “robust enough to survive the challenges”, said the BMF.
Heats are to take place in Windermere on May 9-11 and June 6-8, with the top three teams progressing to the final in Ingleton, Cumbria on August 22-24.
