A project to identify regulatory barriers to building with wood is being undertaken by BRE for the European Confederation of Woodworking Industries (CEI Bois).

CEI Bois is actively involved in boosting the use of wood in construction, and one of its aims is to eliminate barriers to the use of wood in Europe.

BRE has formulated a questionnaire based on the most important aspects of regulatory matters in order to determine their effect on the use of wood in construction.

Aimed at clients, planners, designers, suppliers, contractors and national correspondents, the questionnaire can be downloaded from www.bre.co.uk/timber. All questionnaires should be completed and returned to the BRE by September 1.
