British coniferous standing timber sale prices rose marginally in the year to September, according to figures released by the Forestry Commission (FC).
The latest price indices, which measure the average price received per cubic metre of FC timber, show standing sale prices rose 0.2% in real terms (1996 prices) to £6.58, compared with the previous year.
The softwood sawlog price index was 0.7% lower than a year ago.
