A dedicated hi-tech facility has been created at the Oswestry headquarters of Richard Burbidge Ltd to help the company keep pace with decorative timber design and development.
The in-house development team has also been expanded with the recruitment of a new product designer.
All the product development, prototyping and graphic design staff have been brought together in the facility which includes an open plan work space and design studio, a prototype workshop, a resource and research library and a meeting toom.
The facility also showcases some of Richard Burbidge’s products including engineered and laminate flooring, mouldings and stair parts.
The changes are part of the company’s innovation and development programme which has included establishing links with the Design Council, appointing former Design Council director Clive Grinyer as a non-executive board member, and recruiting a new product development manager and new product designer.
