Membership of the British Woodworking Federation is helping a Preston joinery company deal with a barrage of British Standards and EU legislation and paperwork.
JL Joinery Ltd, which recently changed its membership from a building-oriented trade association to the BWF, says the federation is keeping it informed of forthcoming legislation and has the necessary expertise to give advice.
Company founder John Lowry said the high recognition of the BWF logo is bringing increased credibility to the business.
JL Joinery’s orders come from architects and direct from the end-customer, with oak described as the “wood of the moment”.
