The introduction of a code of conduct and a 700-member target are among the aims of the British Woodworking Federation’s (BWF) new president, Ron Cohen.
He is also committed to encouraging more members to take an active role in BWF activities through more local area meetings, expanding the BWF’s ‘Quality Marks’, and using the federation’s strengths to build on last year’s 7% rise in demand for BWF members’ products.
The BWF has 479 members and Mr Cohen, who is the managing director of STP Group Ltd, wants to push membership towards 700 during his two-year term of office.
