The combined BWFgaptester and bwflabelchecker, which has an integral mirror to check for certification labels on tops of doors, has a 3mm depth to check the gap between frame and door leaf. It is available free to all BWF members.
Door manufacturers must be contacted to rectify inconsistencies in the gap or if the distance is more than 3mm.
The BWF has also come up with a striking new “contemporary and clean” logo for its Fire Door and Doorset Scheme. The logo, featuring strong use of red and black, was chosen by scheme members for its impact and orginality.
