Cameroon has announced that it is suspending the export of wenge and bubinga, according to the International Tropical Timber Organisation (ITTO).
Companies have one month from the date of the official decision (April 20) to conclude export contracts.
The suspension is valid until December 31, during which time a study will be conducted regarding export quotas for these species.
