Police spotted the plants, which were spread over three acres of forest in the McCully Mountain area of Linn County, while flying over the region in a helicopter.
Local police and federal authorities seized 4,707 plants. Typical marijuana hauls in the past have involved between six and 100 plants.
Police are investigating the find and no arrests have yet been made.
