The Canadian High Commission’s imposing stone building on London’s Trafalgar Square is being temporarily wrapped in western red cedar as part of an architecture exhibition.
An undulating 200ft-long, 27ft-high wooden wall consisting of small cedar sections is being erected as part of the “Vancouverism: Westcoast Architecture + City-Building” event at Canada House, organised to coincide with the London Festival of Architecture.
Architects and designers are being encouraged to visit the Vancouverism exhibition within Canada House, which includes models, displays and technical information relating to prominent Vancouver architecture, including notable timber buildings.
