This year’s Certification Watch conference in Vancouver features speeches from four chief executive officers of major North American corporations and three high-level government officials.
The “Policy & Practice of Forest Certification” event, organised by Sustainable Forestry & Certifcation Watch on March 25-29, will also see contributions from Forest Stewardship Council International and Greenpeace.
Topics to be discussed include certification implementation strategies on private and public lands, forest certification considerations specific to British Columbia and perspectives from the lumber and paper sectors.
The conference follows the 16th Global Forest Industry Conference, also held in Vancouver on March 25.
