The Wooden House Exhibition, to be held in Guangzhou, China, seeks to showcase the opportunities of the rapidly increasing Chinese timber construction market.

Organisers say that the level of timber housebuilding activity has increased to a 20% annual growth rate.

About 200 wooden house manufacturing companies are operating in China, while Canada Wood Industry Association, Europe Wood Industry Association and the American Forest & Paper Association are all making steps into the market.

The exhibition, which runs from March 30-April 1, will feature 500 booths and nearly 200 exhibitors, spread over 18,000m² of display space.

Visitors will include designers, contractors, end-use buyers, producers, importers and exporters and embassy representatives.
