The three events were held at All Seasons in Sheerness in Kent, Woodscope Joinery in Leigh near Manchester and by Alan Heavisides at its Barnard Castle site in County Durham, with Masterwood stating that between 40 and 50 people were in attendance at each.
“What was noticeable was that many of them stayed for three to four hours and took a great deal of interest in the machining centres,” said Russell Corlett, Masterwood managing director.
“Because of the success of the open days, we shall definitely be holding something similar again next year, perhaps in different parts of the country so as to give yet more people the opportunity to come along.”
Machines producing both casement and sash windows were showcased at the open days, with Masterwood technical staff on hand to answer questions regarding the machinery and software available from the firm.
