The Co-operative Bank has helped Grange Fencing Ltd overcome supply shortages and deliver record production levels, according to managing director Duncan Hill.
Mr Hill said that Grange Fencing turned to the bank in order to help it secure and maintain new supplies, following gales and wet conditions that led to “a year-long shortage of the wood [we] use”.
Having sourced new suppliers around the world, including Europe and South America, Grange Fencing said that Co-operative Bank had allowed it to “quickly transfer large sums of money” into their accounts.
“It is vital that we build large stocks over the winter months in readiness for the new season, and for this we need the backing of a bank that understands our industry,” said Mr Hill.
“When it became clear that 2007 was going to be a hectic year for Grange Fencing, we endeavoured to work closely and respond quickly to the management team’s need to co-ordinate their cashflow during a time of unprecedented demand and growth,” said Chris Sallnow, a senior corporate manage at Co-operative Bank.
In April, Grange Fencing announced that alternative supply sources had allowed it to “break all previous panel production levels”.
