Sterling OSB has been used by architect Olaf Hübner in his attempts to improve social interaction in Chorweiler, Germany.

The board has been used to clad two timber frame rock-climbing walls in the Cologne suburb – 12 and 16.5m high – with Mr Hübner specifying the material for its “high performance characteristics”.

The Chorweiler Climbing Canyons have been designed to provide a social centre for the Chorweiler community, which is said to have “a number of social problems”. Mr Hübner said the climbing walls will allow locals to experience the “power of social co-operation” through a challenging leisure activity.
