Colin Mann, managing director of Scottish Woodlands, has been elected as the new chairman of ConFor. He succeeds Tony Willis of Euroforest who will continue as an ordinary board member.

Other changes to the board include Mike Box replacing Gordon Little as the representative of ConFor’s subsidiary company organising the APF International Forestry Exhibition. As part of changes to strengthen representation of members on ConFor’s board, Lord Hamilton, Athole McKillop, Raymond Henderson, Tim Kirk and Will Anderson have all joined as directors.

ConFor’s vice-chairman, John Firn, has retired from the board after a long, unbroken period of service, first as chairman of the Forestry & Timber Association and then, following FTA’s amalgamation with ConFor, as vice-chairman of the new body. A successor will be named shortly
