The company is taking on 21 apprentices across nine different areas in 2012, bringing its total number of apprentices to 61.
Willmott Dixon said the major investment in skills development came at a time when the construction sector is struggling due to reduced work volumes.
The company said the apprentice programme provided the construction sector with a platform for when the market recovers.
