FE Peacock Construction has completed work on 30 timber frame social housing homes for Corby Borough Council.

The timber frames were manufactured and built by Kestrel Timber Frame, which is part of the same Larkfleet Group at FE Peacock.

All the timber was sourced from sustainable forests so that the properties will meet the government’s Code for Sustainable Homes level 3 – some 25% above the current minimum requirement for energy efficiency set out in building regulations, the company said.

The development comprises four- three- and two-bedroom houses, and two-bedroom bungalows, and was built with a £1.6m grant from the Homes and Communities Agency.
