Construction Products Association chief executive Michael Ankers has been awarded an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday honours list for services to the construction industry.
During his 20 years in the industry, Mr Ankers has been director at the Chartered Institute of Building and chief executive of the Brick Development Association. In 1999 he moved to London to set up the Construction Products Association which was launched at the beginning of 2000.
Amongst his other current appointments, Mr Ankers is a member of the 2016 Zero Carbon Task Group and is non-executive director of the British Board of Agrément. Until the end of last year he was also chairman the CBI Trade Association Council.
