CR Taylor (Timber) Ltd provided expert advice on timber suitability and strength to a couple being featured on the Grand Designs television programme.
One of the latest episodes of the programme showed Robert and Milla Gaukroger visit CR Taylor Timber’s Denholme site to seek advice on the strength and grading of the wood they had sourced from local woods for use in the roof of their redevelopment project. TRADA recommended the company to the Gaukrogers.
“We machine inspected the sample timbers brought in by the Grand Designs couple and they successfully passed the required tests, which made them suitable for use in their new home,” said company chairman Charles Taylor.
The company then received a follow-up order for its I-joists for the couple’s Lake District home – also featured on the programme.
