CR Taylor Timber has reinstated plans to look for a new base in Bradford following a recent upturn in business activity.
The firm, which has been based in Denholme since being established in 1960, has submitted an outline planning application to Bradford Council for the residential redevelopment of its site, a scheme involving the construction of more than 70 homes.
However, managing director Russell Tallant said the relocation project was in its early stages and was entirely dependent on planning permission being granted.
CR Taylor first looked at moving to a bigger location three years ago but the onset of the recession resulted in the plans being put on hold.
“Happily, we now seem to be through the worst of it,” he said. “The housebuilding sector is getting busier again and our turnover remains 30% up on last year.”
A feature on CR Taylor will appear in the next issue of TTJ.
