Swede Speed will offer customers quick delivery of C24 whitewood, direct from CWP’s Swedish mill.
Softwood marketing manager Jerry Wilson said the service would be particularly helpful for merchants that wanted a pick-a-pack service as it provided newly-produced timber for delivery in less than a week.
"The mill is geared up for this business, drawing from a buffer stock and daily production schedules," said Mr Wilson.
The service is due to be rolled out later this month and customers will receive a weekly stock note.
"In future, we envisage customers being able to log into the stock and production system and place orders on a ‘live’ basis," said Mr Wilson.
He added that, with production in Sweden and the Baltic states supplemented by shippers covering Finnish and German supply, CWP planned to add planed goods and construction sheet materials to its existing range of structural softwood, fencing and furniture products.
