Dubai-based Danube Building Materials is to invest AED50m in a new plant in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) producing a range of wood-based building materials in bulk.
The 120,000ft² facility in Ajman will produce timber, laminates and MDF, as well as steel, glass and other hardware.
The establishment of the plant is designed to help Danube supply the growing market for high-quality building materials in and around the UAE, which has boomed in recent years.
“Our expansion into Ajman, which closely follows the recent launch of our plant in China, is a testament to the rapid growth pace at which we are moving to leverage the booming construction market in the region,” said chairman Rizwan Sajan.
