The Welsh forestry industry will once again be given the opportunity to put politicians on the spot before National Assembly elections.
A significant proportion of the industry is expected to attend the Wales Forestry Debate at the Metropole Hotel, Llandrindod Wells on March 31, just over a month before the country goes to the polls.
Chief executive of the UK Forest Products Association (UKFPA) David Sulman will deliver a state of the market address, while representatives from each political party will set out their policy positions on forestry in Wales.
The event is organised by the Welsh Timber Forum, in tandem with the UKFPA, the Forestry and Timber Association, the Institute of Chartered Foresters and other groups. A similar event was held prior to the first National Assembly elections in 1999.
