The Stonehaven-based timber systems manufacturer, part of Aberdeenshire’s Bancon Group, says it is reaping the rewards of its investment in additional resources in central Scotland and north-west of England with over 60% of its business now outside the North-east of Scotland.

The company posted record sales of £23m in 2015 and is on course to beat that in 2016. Contracts include main contractors and private developers covering the affordable housing, private housing and commercial sectors.

This latter sector, which includes schools, care homes and hotels, is a specialised area which Deeside has successfully operated in for over 10 years and is aiming to expand further.

“Despite tough market conditions here in the North-east, trading in the region remains strong with a healthy order book and an extremely high level of enquiries,” said John Wright, Deeside Timberframe’s managing director.
