Leaderflush Shapland’s Designer doorsets have been incorporated into an award-winning school redesign in Farnborough, Hampshire.
Following a fire in 2004, classrooms at Pinewood Infant School have been moved into three linear forms perpendicular to the existing block, creating a courtyard area for the 90 pupils. It was named as a 2008 RIBA Regional Awards winner in the south.
Leaderflush Shapland provided Pivette doorsets from its Designer range in order to help specifiers meet various requirements of Part M: Access to and Use of Buildings.
The Pivette doors are designed to maximise opening width while minimising door swing area, making them “perfectly suited to school buildings” and “the ideal choice to enhance this space”, said Leaderflush Shapland.
