NHBC approval follows on from TRADA backing, British Board of Agrément certification and the inclusion of PEFC-certified I-joists in SIRS and, according to DTE, allows the system to be used by major housebuilders.
“We are extremely proud that SIRS has been given the approval of the NHBC,” said project manager Michael Donaldson.
“This certification is an important milestone in the development of SIRS. It is now an ideal system for both the volume and the self-build market.”
DTE claims that SIRS is a quick to erect roofing system that can cut on-site time by as much as 80%, as well as giving 25% more floor space in the finished build.
