Cardiff-based Ecotimber Ltd has seen its sales of Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified hardwood increase by more than 100% to more than £1m in the past financial year.
The company, a founder member of FSC and an early member of WWF‘s Forest Trade Network, said that with increased availabiluty of FSC timber it was now becoming easier to supply timber for larger projects.
And, it said, specifiers and users were becoming familiar with new timber species and were more willing to use them.
