Eleco Timber Frame, the ElecoFrame system manufacturer, has achieved the UK Timber Frame Association’s (UKTFA) Q-Mark Plus status.
The quality certification covers design and manufacturing processes, assessing compliance to strict guidelines across a range of areas. It also incorporates registration to ISO9001:2000.
To qualify, Eleco Timber Frame supplied the UKTFA with analysis of its health and safety procedures, chain of custody compliance and UKAS quality management systems.
“It also required an assessment of project management systems, in addition to further inspections across a number of core internal processes, including the experience and competency of staff using CAD systems at design stage, through to premises quality through the manufacturing process,” said technical manager David White.
He added that Q-Mark Plus should enhance the company’s attraction to “housebuilders and developers looking for a reliable manufacturer of timber building components ”.
